My Tangled Web

My name is Katie Ripple

Where Intuition Meets a Little Spice and a Whole Lot of Magic

My tarot readings are for anyone seeking guidance, clarity, or maybe even a reality check from the universe. Whether you’re searching for personal insight or want to add a mystical spark to your next gathering, I’m here to help you navigate the twists and turns of life’s journey.

My goal? To create a welcoming space for seekers, build a thriving community, and expand my offerings so more people can experience the magic of tarot.

A Twisting Path to the Cards

My journey has been anything but ordinary. I grew up in Kenedy, Texas, skating Sonic trays and cleaning rooms at a bed and breakfast before life carried me through Brenham, Bryan, and Huntsville for college. By 2012, I had earned my Bachelor’s in Family & Consumer Sciences from Sam Houston State University—fancy home economics—with plans of becoming an event planner.

And I was, for a while. I worked weddings, coordinated events, and tried to carve out a career in the industry. But what looked glittery from the outside didn’t align with what I needed on the inside. The lifestyle drained me, and the constant demand for perfection didn’t foster positive energy for my then-undiagnosed (and now remedied) mental health. I realized my evenings and weekends—and my peace of mind—were worth more than that paycheck.

Since then, I’ve worn many hats (and masks): scare actor at House of Torment, photo booth manager, summer camp director, teacher-for-a-minute, retail manager, even a real estate dabbler. Each role stretched me in different directions, but deep down I knew I was meant for something more magical, more connective.

Crossroads

Eight years in Texas Roller Derby (2016–2024) gave me a second family and a lifetime of lessons—resilience, grit, teamwork, and a refusal to back down when life hits hard. When I became Assault & Vinegar with the Holy Rollers in 2017, I learned how to push limits, lean on my teammates, and laugh through the bruises. In 2024, I hung up my skates, but the scar tissue left behind? I treasure it.

Most recently, I traded the roar of the track for the rhythm of hoofbeats, working as an instructor and volunteer coordinator with Hearts Therapeutic Riding in Leander, TX. Horses, riders, and volunteers taught me as much as I taught them. But as I step away in September 2025, I stand at a new crossroads. I don’t know exactly where I’ll land next—but I do know that when the call comes to help humans (and animals if I can help it) find joy, love, belonging, and a spark of magic, I’ll be there to answer.

Magic, Madness & A Caress of the Macabre

Beyond my love for horses and community, my spiritual practice is the heart of what I do. Tarot is how I connect with the unseen, offering insight, empowerment, and a little sparkle of the uncanny to those who sit across from me.

When I’m not reading cards, you’ll find me exploring the cosmos with my coven, my husband Justin, and our two hellhounds—Regan and Damien. And let’s be honest: as a Halloween-obsessed horror weirdo, I’ll always have one claw dipped in the macabre.

So if you’re ready for a tarot reading with brass, bite, and a little witch-lit shimmer, let’s dive in. The universe has plenty to say—let’s see what it has in store for you.
